About Me

I am a US Veteran, almost 11 years, a registered nurse in the state of California, a graduate student at the Devry University School of Business, and the owner of Scrap Force, http://www.scrap4us.com/, an online scrapbooking store.

I was a Close To My Heart consultant for many years, almost a decade. My upline was Karen Morris, Jeannette Lynton's right hand woman. When I became a nurse mananger, new nursing laws passed in the state of California needed my full focus, so I gave up consulting, with a heavy heart.

Scrapbooking has always been in the back of my mind. After all, I did I enjoy teaching, planning classes and craft kits, holding booths at expo, taking business seminars, attending scrapbooking conventions, craft manufacturer conventions, and hob nobbing with executives in America's premier business systems. I have a bachelor's degree in nursing, people skills, management skills, research skills, writing skills, art and design skills, photography skills, skill with photo software, interviewing skills, team building skills, team management skills, networking skills, salesmanship, computer skills, and many years of customer service skill and experience. My eBay store rating is 97-98%.

My business idea is similar to a new store just opened in northern California under a different owner, but I have developed business ideas, digital scrapbooking ideas, hybrid ideas, technology fusion ideas much further than GT, and I believe, will ultimately be the preferred and more satisfying choice for the up and coming techno generation. I am in the writing stages of my business plan. I will have a first draft business plan completed by the end of August 2008.

My logo, Scrap Force, speaks to my days in the Air Force. I sell and recommend high quality craft supplies. I also hunt for bargains to pass on to customers. I'm a shopper, myself, so I understand what shoppers want to find when they shop. Scrap Force goes beyond that. Like a futuristic knight, Scrap Force is an approach to scrapbooking store ownership that exudes a crown of certifiable quality, professionalism, education, intuition, and caring. For the customer, the experience will be upbeat, fun, youthful yet professional, hip yet polished. Product lines will be deep and individual, showing one the benefit of appreciating the past in a way that balances happiness and well-being. We will have a special approach to the bitter topics in life. We will print themes other scrapbook makers would never touch. We believe that journalling for many is a focused form of healing. We profess what crafters everywhere know; that crafting and being creative is better than drugs, safe for the liver and cheaper than therapy. We are, scrapbook practitioners. Our company vision has a nurse's touch.

I hope to someday go global. My initial goal is annual sales of $1M, and stores in every major region and city.
